About Vote Yes Puyallup Schools

Vote Yes Puyallup Schools is a community-led campaign supporting the Educational Programs and Operations (EP&O) Levy Replacement for the Puyallup School District. This local levy helps sustain the day-to-day programs, staff, and services that students rely on and that are not fully funded by the state.

The EP&O Levy is not a new tax. It replaces an existing levy that is set to expire, allowing the district to continue providing essential educational programs and maintaining stable learning environments for students across Puyallup schools.

Why the EP&O Levy Matters

State funding alone does not cover the full cost of educating students.

EP&O levy funds help support:

  • Classroom teachers and school staff

  • Student safety, health, and supervision

  • Instructional materials and classroom technology

  • Special education and student support services

  • Athletics, arts, and extracurricular programs

  • Daily operations that keep schools running effectively

Without this locally approved funding, the district would face significant reductions to programs and services that directly impact students and families.

A Community Investment in Students

The EP&O Levy represents approximately 16% of the district’s General Fund budget and plays a critical role in maintaining educational quality and stability. This levy reflects the community’s shared commitment to students, educators, and schools—ensuring that Puyallup schools can continue to meet student needs today and into the future.
